BEVERLY SALVIEJO SLAMS GLOBE TELECOM!

Ms. Beverly Salviejo

Ms. Beverly Salviejo

I have heard about Globe stories in past.  Gory, insane accounts of how they charge subscribers with services not utilized.  They also continuously bombard postpaid consumers with irritating text ads among other irritants.  Today, actress/classical singer BEVERLY SALVIEJO fumes on her FB wall with her horrorific experience : GLOBE TELECOMS… NAKAKAINIT KAYO NG BUNGO!…. Isang call center agent ninyo ang nang-insulto sa akin when i called about my intention of upgrading my plan and i asked about my rewards because i am renewing my contract!!!! “MRS… I CANNOT SAY YOUR NAME BECAUSE IT IS UGLY!”, said this very rude call center agent by the name of “KAVID”.
GUSTO KONG MAG-UPGRADE NG PLAN FROM PLAN 800 (nagdowngrade ako some years back in protest sa sloppy handling the globe sa internet charges.hindi ako gumagamit ng internet services ng globe kc may wifi ako sa house na malayong mabilis kesa sa globe. Wala akong binuksan na application for internet services nila, but while i was sleeping, nag-accumulate ng LIBO-LIBONG CHARGES ang fon ko. “SUE ME! I will not pay for something that i did not ask for nor used!”, i said. So pinatanggal ko ang internet service sa fon ko at nagbaba ako ng plan sa pinakamababa.) NOW GUSTO KONG MAGTAAS NG PLAN TO P1799 and AVAIL OF THE GALAXY S4 quad core unit. I HAVE ALREADY BEEN APPRAISED ABOUT THE PLAN WHEN I CALLED A MONTH AGO. I WAS TOLD P3200 PESOS ang EQUIVALENT NG PLAN, P999 GOES TO THE UNLISURF, P1100 GOES SA COST NG UNIT, ANG MATITIRANG PERA AY MAPUNTA SA CONSUMMABLE CALLS AND TEXT. P4800 ANG CASH OUT PARA SA LOCK-IN PERIOD NA 24 months. SO NOW, I ASKED KAVID ABOUT MY REWARDS, AND THIS IS A LEGITIMATE QUESTION CONSIDERING THAT I HAD BEEN WITH GLOBE FOR ABOUT 15years ALREADY. WHAT WILL GLOBE GIVE ME FOR MY REWARDS ESPECIALLY NA MAGRERENEW AKO AT MAGTATAAS NG PLAN? BY THIS TIME MEJO HYPER NA AKO KASI we had been discussing this for a time already and it seems like he coudnt get my point. SAY NITONG KAVID NA ANG OFFER DAW NG GLOBE AY YUN LANG. KAKO NASAAN ANG REWARDS KO? I TOLD HIM THAT A CASE LIKE THIS IS BEYOND HIM AS HE IS NOT IN A POSITION TO DECIDE ON SOMETHING LIKE THIS, SO I ASKED TO TALK TO SOMEBODY HIGHER IN POSITION WHO COULD ANSWER MY QUERIES TO WHICH HE SAID NA KHIT SINONG KAUSAPIN KO GANUN DIN ANG SASABIHIN. SO he said, SINCE I HAVE BEEN WITH GLOBE FOR A “COUPLE OF YEARS”… A PHRASE TO WHICH I STRONGLY PROTESTED… I SAID “PLEASE… DO NOT USE THE WORD ‘COUPLE’ coz the word means TWO, AND DEFINITELY I HAD BEEN WITH GLOBE FOR MORE THAN 12 YEARS (i I presume nakamulagat sa computer nya na 1998 pa nasa globe na ako). Say nitong KAVID, COLLEGE GRADUATE DAW SYA KAYA D DAW SYA KAILANGANG SABIHAN. ( if i have to be blunt about it, his english sucks.)So PWEDE DAW YUNG REBATE NA BASED SA PLAN 800 na 350php, FOR 24 months daw.
SO I TOOK MY CALCULATOR AND DID SOME MATH. “SO WILL GLOBE AUTOMATICALLY DEDUCT 380php FROM 1799, assuming na di ako lalagpas sa allocation ko, and thus P1419 lang ang babayaran ko?… I DO NOT HAVE TO GO TO THE GLOBE CENTER EVERY SO OFTEN JUST TO AVAIL OF IT?” ( ask ko ito kc may friend akong artista rin na galit at sising-sisi na in-avail nya yung rebate kc she had to go to globe center every time, and she really was cussing the center coz it took her hours waiting to be attended to for a few pesos of rebate. Surely her time is worth more than that.)

KAVID: no, sa plan 800 lang ito pede iapply.
ME: (getting really upset) WHAAT? ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT I COULD NOT UPGRADE? NASAN NA ANG REWARDS KO? ANG TAGAL KO NA SA GLOBE, MAGRERENEW AKO NG CONTRACT AND YOU ARE PENALIZING ME KASI MAG-A-UPGRADE AKO? BALEWALA NA ANG REWARDS KO?
KAVID: MRS…(stummered a bit coz probably he couldnt pronounce my legal married name LAUZON)… I CANT SAY YOUR NAME BECAUSE IT IS UGLY!
ME: YOU ARE UGLY! I ASK YOU LEGITIMATE QUESTIONS AND YOU ATTACK MY PERSON BY TELLING ME MY NAME IS UGLY!
THEN THIS KAVID HANG UP ON ME!!!! Rude, rude, rude! SO I ASK GLOBE TELECOMS, IS THIS THE WAY YOU TREAT LOYAL CUSTOMERS? WHY DO YOU ALLOW THIS KIND OF RUDENESS IN YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICES? I AM SO SURE THAT THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED CASE. RECENTLY, I HAVE TALKED TO SEVERAL PEOPLE, INCLUDING ARTISTS ( IAN VENERACION AND DIREK AL TANTAY AND SOME OTHERS) AND THEY ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT YOUR SERVICE, YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE, YOUR GLOBE CENTERS AND YOUR BILLING LIKE I DO!
CAN SOMEONE FROM GLOBE GIVE RESOLUTIONS TO MY LEGITIMATE COMPLAINTS AND QUERIES?
NAKAKAINIT NG BUNGO TALAGA!

PAOLO PASCUAL : CEBU’S PRIDE!

pizap.com13773862464371Twenty two years in this planet and now a big name in soccer, PAOLO PASCUAL is a name that may soon be a legend.  The only Cebuano Azkal member, Paolo muses that since it [soccer] was the only club back then, he decided to try it out and on it since he was seven. Being the team’s goalkeeper sure has gained him not just second glances but a lingering admiration since he is rather deep into making sure the game is played right.  The training , needless to say has kept this gorgeous guy fit and yet he manages to take to the gym to further tone his body.  “I love the challenge that the sport brings ; never give up for everything requires time and dedication” , he says with  a swagger to dip you right into some honey-based sauce!

JANET LIM NAPOLES : STAR FOR ALL SEASONS OF HATE!

JANET LIM NAPOLES : The Mother of All SMEGMA!

JANET LIM NAPOLES : The Mother of All SMEGMA!

She has easily eclipsed GLORIA ARROYO as the ultimate  icon of hate of most Filipinos.  That is tough luck since this race is quite soft on ‘bad guys’ … especially ‘bad gurls’.  But she sure has hit a spot where it really hurts.  She orchestrated a systematic and almost methodical way to suck funds right off the noses of the taxpaying public.  She allowed herself a meager percentage out of the pork barrel funds of corrupt legislators and partied all night long until some cohorts sang out of tune.  It is now not important where she came from but rather where she should be : the SLAMMER!  And as we fan out flies from a rotten deal, we are all URGED to march to LUNETA [and nationwide as well] on AUGUST 26 to exhibit our grand indignation with what these jokers did to our money!  To join visit the FB PAGE for updates : MILLION PEOPLE MARCH TO LUNETA AUGUST 26: SA ARAW NG MGA BAYANI. PROTESTA ng BAYAN!!!

G TOENGI : FISHY TALES & STINKY COCKTAILS

pizap.com13773105350701In the light of the pork barrel scam, 90s actress G Toengi floats up like a turd with a story.  She was supposedly invited by a senator [obviously not just a chummy friend] to some chillin’ years back in Los Angeles.  According to her account , she ordered some wine but her date had three shots of LOUIS XIII ; an expensive cognac costing some $350 per.  Truly amazed and perhaps flabbergasted out of her wits; she snided : “Wow, ang sarap naman ng buhay nyo!’  to which the senator acknowledged : ‘Syempre, kaming mga senador may ₱30 million buwan-buwan!’  Now this is one maiden’s tale that can go a long way including a guessing game to fill your days with anger and slight hate unless G names the bloaty law-maker.  But as of this minute, she refuses to squel.  So ,this is our call : GAGA KA G TOENGI, GAGA KA HANGGANG DI MO PINAPANGALANAN ANG TINAMAAN NG LINTIK NA SENADOR NA NAGYABANG SA’YO! AT HWAG KANG PAKALAT-KALAT AT MAY ISANG BAKLANG BAKULAW NA BUBULYAW SA YO!

Get the drift? Choz.

LOVELY LOGICS

Xixi Maturan @ Ayala Center Cebu

Xixi Maturan @ Ayala Center Cebu

I am quite sure that vacations are basically [moments] away from one’s self.  It is that simple time when there isn’t really anything important [or basic] and that oblivion is where you should be.  I have been literally having the best days of August here in Cebu and  would love to do a replay in my mind once I get back to Los Baños next week!  There is a fat chance of visiting nearby Bohol if and when the weather permits ; I will not risk my beauty to the nasty ways of the sea! Of course my Mindanao trip last April was a blast, but that was a visit to a distant past and to the place where I was born ; this trip now is all about re-immersing myself into the Visayan air!  Come November [or sometime before Christmas] I just might stop traffic in HK  … so that’ll wrap up my Asian affair?  I am not big in qoutes or fables of that sort, but from FB’s FactBook I find the following Lovely Logics redundantly Logical!  I realize that indeed there are thoughts that direly need to be shared so here it is :

1. Make Peace with your Past.. so it doesn’t
spoil your Present.
2. What others Think of you is None of your
Business.
3. Time Heals Almost Everything, Give the
Time, Some Time.
4. No one is the Reason of your Happiness…
Except You yourself.
5. Don’t compare your Life with others, You
have No Idea what
their journey is all about.
6. Stop Thinking too much, It’s alright not to
know all the Answers.
7. Smile, you don’t own all the Problems in the
World.

LILO-AN … WHIRLY TWIRLY VISIT

pizap.com13771370767911Yesterday I visited Lilo-an town ,  a 15 minute ride north of Cebu City.  The town is best known to be the home of Lola Titay Fuentes, now long gone but her baked goodies are still tops in your pasalubong list.  It is also where the fabulous Pilar Pilapil grew up to be the queen and star that she is.  But then the focal point of the town’s totality is the parola or watch tower that beams through the night to guide seafarers on their watery tracks.  Here’s a quick wikinote :  One of the best known landmarks in Lilo-an is its historic lighthouse at Bagacay Point. The original lighthouse was built in 1857 by the Spanish. However, the current tower was constructed in 1904 by order of William Howard Taft,  the first Governor-General of the Philippines and later the President of the United States. The tower is 72 feet tall and remains in active use today using solar energy. The lighthouse has been declared a National Historical Landmark on August 13, 2004 by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (formerly known as National Historical Institute).

By the way LILO-AN literally means ‘whirlpool’ … yes, lots of tiny whirlpools at the delta of the suba.  Visit Lilo-an sometime…

DANIEL MATSUNAGA : UNZIPPED!

pizap.com13770485153871He still is the smoldering import model ladies and pinkies fantasize twice over at dawn.  His charm is an unfaltering allure that eases confusion when in doubt.  DANIEL MATSUNAGA may not be that accessible but he seems to be all over the place : billboards , entnews dispatches, occasional tv & film appearances , gossip corners and heaven knows where else!  Chancing upon him is not an impossibility as I did and I should say he is such a gentleman to scoop in some light banter and leave you breathless.  For the longest time, Aliwan Avenue has ushered in a lot of visitors who checked in just for Daniel.  It was quite sad that what we had was a fleeting moment and there wasn’t time for me to grab my cam but then memories are far more lasting!

ORATIO IMPERATA for DELIVERANCE from CALAMITIES

pizap.com13770030243311Almighty father, we raise our hearts to You in gratitude for the wonders of creation of which we are part of, for your providence in sustaining us in our needs and for Your wisdom that guides the course of the universe

We acknowledge our sins against you and the rest of creation.

We have not been good stewards of nature.

We have confused Your command to subdue the earth

The environment is made to suffer our wrongdoing and now we reap the harvest of our abuse and indifference

Global warming is upon us. Typhoons, floods, volcanic eruptions, and other natural calamities occur in increasing number and intensity

We turn to you our loving Father and beg for forgiveness for our sins.

We ask that we, our loved ones and our hard earned possessions be spared from the threat of calamities, natural and man made.

We beseech You to inspire us to all grow into responsible stewards of Your creation and generous neighbors to those in need.

Amen

A Little Trip To The South

An Accidental Pose @ SandBar Resort in Cordova, Cebu

An Accidental Pose @ SandBar Resort in Cordova, Cebu

I am now enjoying the salient charm of the Queen City of the South.  Just a short two week vacation to celebrate my  birthday on August 30.  I am totally oblivious to what is happening beyond my realm and that is fine.  This is what a lot of people my age should do, shut off a world and slip into another for better reasons.  It is such a great joy to mess around with my five year old grandchild Adie and blindly walk the streets of this historic city while pretending to be naive above it all.  Basking in the sun, frolicking in the sand and breathing the Visayan air is a breather I will always cherish and not mind doing again next year…
