JERICHO ROSALES.  Just married.  But that does not lessen his raw charm.  Having been in the business for almost two decades now, Jericho has maintained a subtle swag to enhance his star status and dive into higher grounds.  Aside from being one of the most reliable soapbox leading men, he is also a recording artist.

DENNIS TRILLO.  Your true Chinoy dreamboat.  Not to be outdone by his peers, Dennis is secure with his filmic escapades; while his tv chores are what you may consider as generic, his films [basically indies] totally exhibit the depth and extent of what he is made of as an actor!

While in the heat of promoting his latest starrer, Regal Film’s ‘STATUS:IT’S COMPLICATED’ on an anemic has-been talkshow, PAULO AVELINO admitted that his lovelife is all coming up roses since he is dating Sharon & Gabby’s baby KC CONCEPCION. The roof raised and some screams were heard. Imagine, Paulo and KC dancing tango somewhere in your thoughts! “Yeah, we’re dating,” was his categorical answer to the question. A reply which can stand on itself without having to trivialize the whole matter. The thing with local showbiz reportage you see, is that they pick on the obvious and paint the whole picture with malice. Is it our business what gives Paulo A hard-on? Hardly. We should not be worried with our favorite actors private affairs ; but then we do and when we are into it , we seek details that are denied to us. So why bother. Anyway, KC on the other hand rushed to twit and imply that there isn’t a ghost of a romance between the two of them. They might have gone out with friends but no amorous sparks ensued. She just might be denying, but then again, WHO CARES???

He is no longer Papa P’s nephew.  He is now his own guy. He is BENJAMIN ALVES. Benjamin has proven enough that he truly is an actor by patiently waiting in the wings of success to conquer the status he deliciously is savoring at the moment.  After signing up with GMA7 and several teleplays [and mainstream flicks]  starting up with a remake of ‘Coffee Prince’, no lull came to his career but instead his star is being buoyed up further now with a weekender show ‘KATIPUNAN’.  Perfectly fit and lusciously suitable for a moist afterthought, Benjamin has arrived and from the looks in every angle he is here to stay!

JC DE VERA : EXODUS DUDE

He started his showbiz career  at GMA7; stayed for almost 7 years got in the middle of then manager Anabel Rama‘s [he is now under the wings of Leo Dominguez] imbroglio with network biggies and was uprooted for a supposedly green pasture in TV5, then after take or leave some 3 years, JC DE VERA signed a contract today with ABSCBN.  The bicolano actor sure has been lucky and continuously is patronized by his fans through appearances on teleseryes and what-have-you’s but he hasn’t really cut a strong leading man image for reasons quite unknown to the untrained passer-by.  Hopefully his new environ would boost his thespian talent as it did Paulo Avelino among other pilgrims.  Expect his star to shine on the star network … oh, am I getting redundant or wet?  LOL!

It could not happen to a better actor [the least to a chance] to star in two films in a festival.  Well, sometimes it does and that sometime is this year’s CINEMALAYA Independent Film Festival where PAULO AVELINO is expected to generate excitement and anticipation as he topbills in Tarrog’s ‘SANA DATI’ and Yapan’s ‘DEBOSYON’.  Whispering waves echoing through the industry has it that he stands another great chance of winning an award for either… or both!  Undoubtedly, Avelino’s depth and expository thespian range is a hard nut to crack while lavishing on the boyish masculine charm it comes from.  This early? Yes, this early… CONGRATULATIONS PAULO! Luv Yah! Luv Yah? Yes, close kami noh???
