The most alarming news to settle right into my navel last week was on drugs. Allegedly , some enterprising Filipino fostered alliance with the Mexican drug cartel and expand their business in the country! Magpatuloy sa pagbasa
Actor LANCE RAYMUNDO is a RARA AVIS… a Rare Bird in our midst. You best describe him when you don’t since nobody really knows what is brewing deeper into his creative mind. The poignance he drizzles upon each and every performance profoundly personify the now countless filmic characters he ephemerally lend lives to. But Lance also has this rhythmic energy that he has properly put into place. Been into it for a while now, he merely put that into hold for acting projects but when he won Most Outstanding Performance Artist at the GawadMusika 2013, he simply couldn’t resist the burning urge to yield and revive his WolfSound. He gladly obliges to share how WolfSound saw the light : Wolfsound is a collection of 12 electropop songs which I wrote during my one week stay in Papua New Guinea! I had a concert there with Gretchen Espina. During our free days… Something about the environment (mostly jungles.. trees… animals… I had a blast nature tripping) triggered the inspirations for WOLFsound. Wolf is the acronym for Wonders Of Living in Freedom. In my case… Freedom to fully express myself as a songwriter because I’m releasing the songs independently…. So I’m not following any orders from A&R [Artist&Repertoire] people from record companies. I hope this inspires other artists to set their Art free for the public to enjoy! Best Dance is all about wanting to be the most memorable thing to ever happen to any girl I go out with. “Dance” is just symbolic. It could mean anything. Hence my ending line: “it doesn’t matter if I am her first or last dance… All that really matters is I AM her Best Dance”. If I get favorable response from this demo… I will definitely make a music video… And you bet it’s gonna be sexy as hell!!! I’m already visualizing how the girls would look like in the video! I have 11 more wolfsongs … So this is a trial and error experiment and I’m ready to digest any input from my audience… The Friends Of WolF!
As a former pop FM dj, I would float into every playlist a WolfSong for its dynamic thrust and because it’s a fresh take on ElectroPop by a Filipino! A legend in the making? Most likely. Lance Raymundo is one name to remember now… not just as an actor but as a musician of substance as well!

Days after a certain DEVINA DEVIDA or DEVINA SHARMA bashed Filipinos after Megan Young won the Miss World 2013 crown on FaceBook ; she instantly got the ire of netizens and was called names mostly by Filipino onliners. Word have it that she lost her job [she is a special education teacher in Singapore] and life in general turned for the worst. She has now extended her apology.
Here is an article from an Australian entertainment site :
Devina Sharma or Devina Devida as we know her is really sorry and regretting the words she said for Miss World 2013 Megan Young. She has gone to great lengths to abuse the Filipinos and called the girls as dirty and smelly but Devina is repenting what she said and has also created a Twitter account just to apologize to the people in Philippines and Megan Young too. “Im so sorry @meganbata and to all the Filipinos out there. Sorry. I don’t have a twitter account so I made one just to show my apology,” Devida wrote on her Twitter account as a profile summary and says she is so resentful that she will not change her Twitter bio “for life!”
Devina, who is now the most hated woman in Philippines, is asking for forgiveness from the people in Philippines and requesting them to stop hating her.
“Hating me won’t ever make you look good. Now shut up,” she writes in another tweet.
The impact of her racist comments for Megan Young was to this extent that she got fired from her current job and even has criminal charges filed against her. She is currently looking for a job and says she had “moved on.”
Devina also added that her grandmother is being taken care by a Filipino nanny who is really sweet.”I feel so disgusted. My grandmom is taking care by a filipino nanny. She was so good and kind. :(,” Devina says.
“I’m trying to get my files so I can work again. I badly need a job,” Devina wrote on Twitter.
Though the hate comments haven’t stopped against the girl but there are certain people in Philippines who are actually ready to forgive her.
“Apology accepted … Hope you will be ok soon 🙂 Please be strong and hope you will be ok soon :),” she is assured by one Twitter user Nene Nette, from Philippines.
“if there are some filipino who still insult you, don’t mind them. they will stop soon. i assure you that. :),” said another user Jo Ann Bolocboloc from Philippines.
“Please show me filipinos are willing to forgive someone. That’s all I want. Again, I’m sorry,” Devina pleads.
Do you think it’s time for the Filipinos to show their forgiving side and accept the apology?

Promising hunk actor JM DE GUZMAN is OUT of the ‘SAN PEDRO CALUNGSOD: BATANG MARTIR’ project. In a formal effort, his father called Director Francis Villacorta informing the latter that his son is not in his right elements to essay the role of the Filipino saint. Earlier, JM signed the commitment letter submitted to the MMFF committee. Mr. de Guzman cited ‘health’ as JM’s main reason of withdrawal and they would not wish to risk production problems during the shoot if ever. Dismayed, Villacorta insists that he had always rooted for the actor to play the role but then, production has to commence the soonest to cope with the December festival’s deadline and they have to find the right payer to the role. Recently, JM DE GUZMAN filled the gossip circles with talks that he is hip-deep into substance addiction and that he had very few lucid moments to speak of.
