MUZY2The July issue of ISDA MAGAZINE features this year’s Cannes sensation ANGELI BAYANI.  Having the pleasure of doing the cover story, here is an excerpt of  the raw version:  Has she landed softly back to reality after being  sent  to stratospheric heights  by the deafening standing ovation her films (Singapore’s “ILO-ILO” and Lav Diaz “NORTE, HANGGANAN NG KASAYSAYAN) received in the recent Cannes Film Festival?  Honestly?  Yes.  Honestly,  but ANGELI BAYANI would rather puff some smoke and give you a girlish  gaze trailed by an enigmatic smile.  ‘Actually, na-ooffend ako sa mga tanong kung nakababa na raw ba ako… let’s face it , part yan ng job mo bilang actor na tanggapin ang karangalan para sa mga obrang sinalihan mo ; yes , to receive a Cannes approval so to speak is all glamorous and stuff, but at the end of the day – it’s still part of your job!’  Never underestimate this lovely petite actress who is at the prime of league;  her craft comes first and the accolade the may be thrown her way  are tasty sprinkles on the icing.  ‘I can never sit back or float on a pool relishing on how it felt to be there , much less being acknowledged! I’m a working actress and the affirmation comes with the load of work that may come my way now…’

Maxim Philippines Turns Gay with Mocha on the Cover

The first “Gay and Lesbian” issue of Maxim Philippines has the most controversial cover in any men’s magazine ever published in the country!

Maxim Philippines shakes up the men’s magazine’s genre this April with uber-sexy singer Mocha on the cover. Mocha, a self-confessed bisexual and the front woman of the girl group “Mocha Girls”, posed on the cover of Maxim together with back-up singer Hershey depicting a lesbian gesture that will surely titillate the magazine’s predominant male readers.

Also featured in the Gay and Lesbian issue of Maxim Philippines is an article called “Gays Night Out” in which tv host Boy Abunda and four other prominent gay celebrities hold a roundtable discussion of gay issues.

And the Gay and Lesbian issue will not be complete without the artist formerly known as Rustom Padilla. The Curious Case of Binibini Gandanghari chronicles the transformation of the country’s most popular transgendered person.

Maxim Philippines April 2009 issue is now available wherever magazines are sold.

marian rivera : cosmopolitan march 2oo9

Marian Rivera posed in a bikini for the very first time and it’s not for FHM where she’s named the sexiest in the land but for Cosmopolitan Magazine.

In 2008, Marian Rivera was summoned by FHM Philippines to grace their cover but she’s yet to give the leading men’s magazine the green light. Perhaps it will contradict with her wholesome image as she is doing the fantaserye Dyesebel at that time.

Now that her tv role (Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang) is for mature audiences, does this mean GMA’s hottest star will take the sexy route this year? Is this the reason why she posed for the cover of a magazine wearing a bikini? Marian bares some skin not for FHM but for the March 2009 issue of Cosmopolitan. Is FHM next?

Cosmo describes Marian having a “kilig glow” on their latest cover. Is it because she’s in love with one of the world’s sexiest men? Find out as the former Dyesebel star clears the air once and for all in the March 2009 issue of Cosmopolitan Philippines.
