Talk and stills says it all : ORLANDO SOL undoubtedly is going for the big guns after BAMBOO FLOWERS, Maryo delos Reyes’ film for the Sineng Pambansa All-Masters Film Festival. Locked within a premise and the intriguing Bamboo flower phenomenon [when the plant blooms it is a sign of its impending death] ; the film also showcases the piquant beauty of the Bohol island particularly along the Loboc riverbanks. Needless to say, Sol is heavy on flexing his acting skills to deliver what may be considered later as painfully poignant and earn him accolades for his effort. BAMBOO FLOWERS is better viewed with an innocent heart ; you really don’t have to bother knowing its plot or storyline, watch it head on blind and peel every scene in amazement! Sol shares billing with Max Collins, Leandro Baldemor, Mylene Dizon, Diva Montelava, Ruru Madrid, with child stars Yogo Singh and Miggs Cuaderno.
The Sining Pambansa All-Masters National Film Festival will be on September 6 to 13, 2013.
