UPDATE from ABSCBN NEWS :
MANILA, Philippines – An indie actor who was arrested for repeatedly checking into hotels without paying the bill could be suffering from a psychological problem, the Makati police chief said Thursday. In an interview with radio dzMM Thursday morning, Makati Police Chief Supt. Manuel Lucban said actor Marco Gonzaga Saca, known by his screen name Marco Morales, could be suffering from a psychological sickness now that he is not in the limelight anymore.”Ang analysis po natin ay minsan po ito ay may tinatatawag na pong psychological sickness na ‘yung dating kanyang sinasabuhay na mga pagtira-tira sa hotel, ‘yung kanyang luho, eh medyo nahihirapan siya sa ngayon,” Lucban said. “Pero para magkaroon siya ng self-fulfillment at magawa niya pa rin ‘yung dati niyang nakagawian na napipilitan siyang manloko sa mga hotel…at minsan magawa niya ang pagnanakaw o minsan pagkakaroon na rin ng pag-iimbita sa kanyang mga kaibigan na siyang aasahan niyang magbayad sa hotel,” he added. Lucban noted the actor’s family is not suffering from financial problems.”Masasabi po naman nating hindi sila naghihikahos,” the police chief said, adding that some relatives of the actor even visited him last night. Morales was arrested on Wednesday afternoon after attempting to leave St. Giles Hotel without settling his bill. He is facing charges of estafa, concealment of true name, resistance and disobedience, and causing alarm and scandal. He is also facing charges of theft, damage to property and attempted homicide for stealing a room television and hitting a hotel staff with his Volvo car while trying to escape a motel in Pasay City last June 11. Police said the actor was behind a series of similar incidents in the Mandarin Hotel and Manila Peninsula. Morales, for his part, admitted that he was the man seen in the CCTV camera footage at the Pasay motel but denied robbing the motel room’s television.
