IRIS LAPID : INTO HIS FOLK’S CRAFT!

iris lapidI once held him as a baby. He was chinky eyed and oh, soooo very cute! All these years I guess he has thought that I was his blood tito since he remained sweet and nice every time we saw each other during his toddler years . But then, it’s almost like that since his mom, LIZ ALINDOGAN is a soul sister to me and i share the jazz music buffiness of his dad, JESS LAPID JR.  Now that he is his own man, IRIS LAPID is slowly but surely creeping into the world he was born into. Yes, the grandson of 60s Action Superstar JESS LAPID is coming into terms with his craft.  He is currently shooting an epic indie on the life of GABRIELA SILANG as Diego’s traitor friend and assailant.  He has also appeared in several films in the  past but when we last saw each other at his mother’s nth birthday bash, he seemed to be quite determined to totally make a deep dive into acting and showbiz in general, “Isang ”creative release” sa akin ang pag arte bukod sa pag ihip ng aking harmonica at pagtugtog ng organ. When asked just why he has opted to further his film making experience to higher grounds, this is what he kilometrically had to say :’ Nakaka-adik at di ko malaman ang adrenalin na lumalabas sa akin lalo na’t may nakakasilaw na ilaw na nakatutuk sa mukha ko at kapag narinig na ang salitang “aksyon” mula sa direktor. ‘Luluah’ is directed by his father Jess Lapid Jr. irisbts

‘GABRIELA’ stars  Christine Patrimonio in the title role, Carlo Aquino , Jeffrey Santos. Carlo Maceda directs and will soon hit metrodigi theaters.
