“It’s like winning a beauty title, probably Ms. Universe!” exclaims Justine Ferrer, Survivor Philippines Palau first runner up and Tweetbiz paparazzi/host now that she replaces BB Gandanghari who played Raquel Villasor in “Sayaw ng mga SENIORita,” the dramatic-comedy play  written by Jose Javier Reyes under the direction of Jun F. Flavier Pablo.

The play, had two sold-out performances at the Tanghalang Huseng Batute of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) during the recently concluded 4th National Theater Festuval.
Lead stars of SENIORita are award-winning TV and movie directors Joel Lamangan, Soxie Topacio, and Manny Castaneda, with comedian-TV at radio host Arnell Ignacio.
BB performed during the packed matinee and gala show. She will not be able to finish the rest of the performances because of a prior US commitment.
Justine shares, “I was asked to have a go-see with the director, Jun Pablo. So, I went there and watched the rehearsal with all the cast. And after, director Jun Pablo talked with me and asked if I can memorize the script in less than two weeks. I said yes, I can do it. He also asked about my theatre background which I have before. And maybe with all that, he was convinced that I can do the role.”
“It’s an honor to take the place of BB Gandanghari,” avers Ferrer. “The role of Raquel is well-written, she is a homecoming queen and married to a wealthy sheikh. I really have to do well so that I may be deemed worthy as  BB’s susbstitute. .
Aside from Justine, adding more buzz to the play are its four fresh hunks, a quartet of theater newbies namely Chase Cervera, as Ollie, the young “husband” of Rading (Topacio), and  Johnron Tañada (Ericson), Christian Paul Meteoro (Troy) at Royce Chua (Lance), talents of Romeo.(Ignacio).
The mini-bikini-open of Ericson, Troy at Lance is one of the highlights of the play.
Rounding up the cast members are Doreen Bernal, Paul Jake Paule at China Cojuangco.
Justine ends, “One of my passions is to act. But I was not given projects to showcase my acting capabilities although I have appeared in one independent film. Now, being part of this play,  I am really giving my best so I hope that every body supports me. Please give meyou’re your love.”
Performances of Sayaw ng mga SENIORita at the AFP Theater, inside Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City are slated on November 23 (7pm), November 24 (3pm/7pm), at December 1 (3pm/7pm.)
